RuPaul Andre Charles, known mononymously as RuPaul, is an American drag queen, television judge, recording artist, and model. He is best known for producing, hosting, and judging the reality competition series RuPaul’s Drag Race.

The waxwork of drag queen RuPaul has been unveiled at Madame Tussauds in England Blackpool. The figure is the museum’s tallest human waxwork and the first-ever UK drag queen figure at Madame Tussaud RuPaul became a popular figure on New York’s club scene in the 1980s. He skyrocketed to fame in the 1990s.

According to The Gazette, Around, 150kg of clay was used to make the waxwork, equating to 23 stones, the average weight of a tiger. The uncanny replica of the titular star of Rupaul’s Drag Race was bought to life by a team of 25 artists, who spent a grueling 800 hours completing the figure, which is dressed in a floor-length purple sequined gown, fishnet tights, diamante jewelry, and gold platform heels. Some 350 hours were spent sculpting the figure, 187 hours on a head of hair, and 30 hours on a set of teeth.

The RuPaul waxwork is the third new figure to be added to Madame Tussauds Blackpool’s 80-strong line-up of sporting stars, TV favorites, movie icons, and singing sensations this year.
