New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on January 10, 2022) follows:
The Sims is one of the longest-running and most iconic sagas in the video game industry. Through the years, it has received versions for practically all consoles and platforms.
For some years now, the saga is also present on smartphones with The Sims Mobile. Thanks to this, the ‘family management’ experience is available to almost everyone.
However, in recent months, The Sims Mobile players suffer from some recurring bugs that still appear today, according to reports. The issues seem to be related to the ‘passive’ state of the characters.
The Sims Mobile issue where passive characters are shown as busy
One of the bugs reported in The Sims Mobile causes characters in ‘passive’ state to appear in ‘busy’ state. This means that the Sim cannot be used, as the game thinks it is active in another event (1, 2).
When a Sim is affected by the glitch, the player can only move it, but cannot make it do any action or make it participate in any event. So, it affects the progression in the game.
since the day before yesterday, my mobile game won’t let me play with one of my characters. I try tapping events or interacting with people or furniture but it doesn’t work. I also tried to call over some sims but it says that my sim “is busy”. Same thing goes for work and hobby events
I can basically only make the sim move around the house.

The Sims Mobile relationships getting lost bug
As mentioned at the beginning, the problems seem to be related to the ‘passive’ state. The other bug reported affects contacts and relationships between Sims.
In this case, the contacts and relationships between the characters disappear when the player tries to change a Sim from a passive state to an active state (1, 2).
This means that all progress in the relationship between various characters that the player has achieved will be lost. So, it is quite a frustrating bug.
EA is already aware of the reports
Recently, an EA Community Manager confirmed that they are aware of the reported issues. However, there is no estimated time of arrival for a fix.
For the moment, it only remains to wait for the fix not to take long to arrive. We will update this article if related information comes up in the next few days, so stay tuned.
We understand that several of our players are experiencing bugs impacting gameplay. As mentioned in the Q&A, we are working on a more permanent solution. Source
