As per the news floating around the internet, we came to know that the CW has released the first look at the upcoming DC television show Gotham Knights, as well as an updated series logline. Since the Arrowverse debuted in 2012, The CW has been known as the DC TV network, recreating a variety of heroes and villains. They create at least one new DC TV property each season, which has allowed them to grow their programming. The CW is introducing the Gotham Knights to life for the 2022-2023 TV season, making this the second Batman-related drama since Batwoman.
Gotham Knights, while created by Batwoman writers/producers Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams, is not a sequel. This will have nothing to do with the planned Warner Bros. video game of the same name, which will be released later this year.
Furthermore, Gotham Knights, like many other DC TV shows on The CW, will follow Bruce Wayne’s adoptive son and the children of Batman’s foes. The pilot was co-written by Fiveash, Stoteraux, and Abrams and directed by Danny Cannon, who previously directed Gotham and Pennyworth.
The CW has released the first official look at Gotham Knights, which was recently shot before being picked up for a season 1 premiere. Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Bow, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, and Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela appear in a new photograph, which can be seen below. The CW also published a new logline for Gotham Knights.
While Bruce has adopted kids in the comics before, Turner Hayes is an original creation for Gotham Knights. It’s worth noting there is a DC character named William Hayes, but it’s unclear if there is any relation there. The show will also star Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, and Rahart Adams as Brody. Even though Batman is dead, the Gotham Knights pilot is expected to have the Caped Crusader in some capacity, as set photos revealed a cast trailer with the name “Bruce” on it.
As per the sources, it indicates that due to the Batman’s place in the Gotham Knights chronology, it’s evident that the program will not take place in the Arrowverse. However, as with the majority of Greg Berlanti’s DC shows, taking place in the greater Arrowverse Multiverse enables for overlaps if there is a plot that fits the respective series. The previously confirmed The Flash season 9 and Superman & Lois season 3 will be joined by Gotham Knights, although a conclusion on Stargirl beyond season 3 has yet to be determined. With Gotham Knights delayed until midseason 2023, more information about the next DC TV show will most likely be disclosed throughout the year.
