Dwayne Johnson’s surprising appearance at a test screening for Black Adam gave fans a pleasant surprise. A new Black Adam teaser is anticipated to debut this week in addition to test screenings for the DC film being held to gauge audience reaction in person. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will visit Canada in October to continue promoting Black Adam, with Toronto being one of the scheduled official visits. The Black Adam test screenings provide “INVALUABLE learnings and takeaways,” in Dwayne Johnson’s opinion, from the early responses.

In a video he posted from the most recent fan screening, Dwayne Johnson explains how he was waiting in the theater’s back row for Black Adam to end so he could astonish the audience. “Success (and the devil) is in the details — and the man I sweat the details,” Johnson said in an Instagram post. As the shocked crowd responded, the former WWE Superstar removed his black facemask. One visitor revealed she has been a fan of Johnson since his WWE days.

“INVALUABLE learnings and takeaways from our BLACK ADAM⚡️ test screenings that I always secretly participate in 😉,” Johnson continued. “I LOVE surprising our audiences afterwards and once the emotions level out 🙀🧘🏾‍♂️😊 I can take my time and really engage and learn from my #1 boss – the audience. BLACK ADAM is my passion project to the bone and I’m so grateful to get these early reactions.”

The second Black Adam teaser will be released globally later this week, and he promised to keep his supporters updated on more information in his final social media message.

Dwayne Johnson watched his DC movie in front of a live crowd for the first time during the test screening. Some audience members began offering insightful criticism on everything from Johnson’s portrayal of Black Adam to the satisfying conclusion. “That was probably one of my favorite parts of the movie,” one person said of the movie’s finale.

With the movie’s release so soon approaching, the actor spoke up in a recent interview with Total Film about where his head is at. “After being in this business for many years, Black Adam is a once-in-a-career character,” Johnson told the magazine. “I realise, going in, you’ve got one shot, and the pressure’s on. You’ve got to dive headfirst into the fire. Because, also, the superhero genre has been busted wide open in the greatest of ways in our business, and has been responsible for some of the greatest movies ever made. So that’s the measuring stick [you’re judged against].”

The movie Black Adam had its cinematic premiere on October 21.
