The popular cooking competition show, The Great American Recipe has been renewed for a second season and will begin filming towards the fall of this year.
On August 15, 2022, PBS announces that the Season 2 of the cooking competition series is set to premiere in Summer 2023. The programmer also announced that Silvia Martinez, a home cook from California, won the series’ first season.
The show celebrates the multiculturalism that makes American food unique and iconic. The second season is once again expected to give home cooks from around the country another chance to serve their beloved signature dishes, Variety reports.
Alejandra Ramos will once again serve as host, with the return of chefs Leah Cohen, Tiffany Derry, and Graham Elliot as judges. Production for Season 2 of the series, which is co-produced by VPM and Objective Media Group America, is scheduled to start in Fall 2022.
President of Objective Media Group America, Jilly Pearce said that they are thrilled for bringing back this wonderfully warm show to PBS.
She believes that it’s a unique cooking competition, a celebratory series where the judges offer professional advice and the contestants root for each other and bond through the shared stories of food and family.
