The favorite Pokémon anime characters of all the 90’s kids are finally departing after 25 years. The all-time famous characters Ash Ketchum and his iconic Pikachu are finally leaving Pokémon anime in the final episode of Pokémon to be released on January 13th, 2023.

Pokémon anime series announced the departure of Ash and Pikachu from the series through a tweet. Pokémon also announced the continuation of the series with new main characters.

The Pokémon anime series will conclude the characters of Ash and Pikachu in January. And will be introducing new main characters of the series in April 2022.

The complete journey of Ash a little boy who set on the journey to be a True Pokémon Master has been showcased over the last 25 years. The journey started back in 1997 with the Indigo League. Throughout the whole journey, Ash traveled the whole Pokémon world meeting various people making friends, and learning lessons. And this whole journey ends with the success of Ash to a Pokémon master.

Through the course of the last 25 years, Ash and Pikachu have been featured in various feature films. The journey of Ash the main protagonist is coming to an end with the introduction new protagonist who will set on a new journey.

The iconic character of the Pokémon franchise Ash and Pikachu departing the series marks the end of an era for sure. For all the Genz’s out there is the end of their childhood as well. Ash and Pikachu were an integral part of the childhood of all the Genz kids and there is a nostalgia associated with these characters, which will always be there.
