Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West after six years of marriage on Feb. 19, ending months of speculation. Kim and Kanye’s journey as a couple and parents to their four gorgeous children — North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2 — has been documented over the last decade, but what went wrong?
The 40-year-old reality TV actress finally spoke up about her split from the 44-year-old rapper on the June 3 edition of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Following a squabble with her family, Khloé Kardashian said during a confessional: “Kim has been battling behind the scenes with her relationship, which is difficult since she is clearly transferring a lot of her frustration, sadness, and anger. And, you know, sometimes you just vent your frustrations on something that has nothing to do with your current situation.”
Kim sobbed to her sisters over her nuptials in previously unseen video. “I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can do it any longer,” she admitted. “Why have I been stuck in this location for so long? Every year, I have to be together to raise the kids because he moves to a different state. He’s also a fantastic father who has done a fantastic job.” She went on to say that Kanye West was one of the most influential people in the world “deserves someone who will follow him about and support him in his every move, as well as relocate to Wyoming. That is something I am unable to accomplish. Because this is my third fg marriage, I feel like a fg failure.” Damon Thomas, a composer, and basketball player Kris Humphries were Kim’s past husbands. She admitted, “Yeah, I feel like a f*****g loser.” “However, I can’t even consider that since I want to be happy.”
Talking about the Couple, Kim’s and Kanye first met in the spring of 2012, and they married a year later at San Francisco’s AT&T Park, now known as Oracle Park, during Kim’s 33rd birthday celebration. In May 2014, they made their relationship official by marrying in an extravagant wedding in Italy. The couple’s breakup is said to be “amicable,” with Kim requesting joint legal and physical custody of their children, which Kanye appears to support. Kanye West appears to be on the mend, as he is now rumoured to be dating model Irina Shayk.
