The Galaxy S23 features Gorilla Glass Victus 2, a new protection panel that offers improved drop performance and shatter resistance on rough surfaces. This new glass composition has received Environmental Claim Validation from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for its average of 22% pre-consumer recycled content.

Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is designed to put focus on the environment, while also offering improved performance. It offers enhanced protection for the front and rear of the phone, resisting shattering when dropped from waist height on concrete or even from a head-level height on the tarmac. This new protection panel provides both environmental sustainability and improved durability for the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The use of recycled glass in the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 panel is a step forward in the technology industry’s efforts to be more environmentally friendly. By incorporating recycled materials into their products, Samsung and Corning are making a conscious effort to reduce waste and promote sustainability.

This move towards a more eco-friendly approach is sure to be appreciated by consumers who are becoming increasingly conscious of their impact on the environment.

The use of recycled glass in the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s display is a significant development in the technology industry. Not only does it offer improved performance and durability, but it also highlights the industry’s commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
