The gangsters drove an Alto car to leave after killing Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala near his native town in Mansa district on Sunday, according to Moga police.

SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana confirmed the car’s recovery, saying it was seized by gangsters after they committed the crime in order to flee the scene.

According to the SSP, the car was discovered abandoned on the outskirts of Dharamkot town in Moga district, with no weapon or other object retrieved.

According to the police, the gangsters abandoned the automobile at Dharamkot town and were either hiding in Moga district or crossing the Sutlej river to enter Jalandhar or Kapurthala districts after leaving it.

According to him, Moga police have requested the footage of numerous CCTV cameras situated on roads in order to determine the gangsters’ route to Dharamkot town. “Further, we are looking into the possibility of gangsters running away from Dharamkot after abandoning the car,” he said.

Moga police, he added, had already put up special nakas on highways and connection roads to keep an eye on any miscreants’ movements. After Moosewala’s murder, the district’s security has also been toughened up, he noted.
