@GoogleIndia Hello Team,
This is very disappointing. I pulled my pixel 7 out of my pocket and saw this…and this happened without any physical damage. I saw many people are reporting the same problem. Please make it repaired asap… it’s under warranty #pixel7brokencamera pic.twitter.com/yeT4Pt22VZ

#pixel7brokencamera Broke in my jacket pocket on New Year’s Eve after having the phone out in the cold. Google customer support told me to get it repaired locally. Now I’m seeing this is a reported issue, @madebygoogle shouldn’t this be covered as a defect under the warranty? pic.twitter.com/HcCkIHgehB

Here’s my broken camera.#pixel7brokencamera
Still waiting on response from Google Support. Been a week since I first let them know. Purchase made from Google Store@madebygoogle seems better at responding than the phone number. Use them 1st pic.twitter.com/SCkNCcr0IZ

I bought this Pixel 7 less than two months ago; never dropped or stressed in any way. Clearly a defect. @madebygoogle won’t fix or replace. I wish I could use their “magic eraser” feature on my purchase, since I won’t be using it with this camera anymore. 😤 #pixel7brokencamera pic.twitter.com/pLYGOCrJb0

The reason to why the cameras keep shattering is still not known. The issue was reported from November onwards by its users, a month after the general sales of the smartphone started.
It is now being considered that the change in the temperature might be what is causing the cameras to shatter. Many users has reported that the cameras were seen shattered after they went from room temperature to a much colder temperature. The expansion of the metal parts and its rapid shrinking after a sudden drop in temperature should be the reason.
Some users are also angry with the service they are receiving. Since it is a physical damage, many service centers are denying to repair the smartphones even if it should be covered in the warranty.
The Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro smartphones has had some really good upgrades in terms of its design and cameras. The overall built quality was also improved than its predecessors. But the recent occurences and the failure in providing the proper service has really impacted the customer’s faith in its devices.
Google will really have to look into the matter and must resolve the issues that has occurred to its smartphone users.
