After bidding farewell to two series regulars in the Season 9 finale, The Blacklist’s future seemed to be considerably different. However, it has now been revealed that Season 10 will take audiences on a trip down memory lane. The commencement of the new season will feature flashbacks to Season 1 and the demise of Meera Malik, who was portrayed by Parminder Nagra. The long-running drama came up with a unique solution.

Siya Malik, the daughter of Meera Malik, will be introduced in The Blacklist Season 10, as per sources. After Aram and Park are gone, Siya, an MI6 intelligence officer, is expected to join what is left of the task unit. She is on a quest to learn more about her mother’s passing and the events that preceded it.

Although the role hasn’t yet been cast, it’s probably reasonable to assume that Season 10 will feature flashbacks from Season 1 starring Parminder Nagra to reacquaint those who might not be fully aware of all the specifics surrounding it Meera’s life and passing. We can only assume at this point, but it would be lovely to see Nagra in Season 10 via some new flashbacks that bring the actress back.

The Blacklist’s fans will sadly have to wait far longer than they will for the returns of many of NBC’s other popular shows, several of which will resume before the year’s completion in the 2022 TV schedule. The Blacklist’s tenth season will not premiere on the network until midseason, which comes in early 2023.

This season will not be the first to be held; Season 6 aired in January 2019. September, October, or November marked the beginning of each of the other seasons. No official release date for Season 10 has been announced, however, it will probably happen pretty early in the year. The 2022 Winter Olympics impacted NBC’s programming earlier this year for great shows like The Blacklist, and they won’t be a factor in mid-2023.

Given that The Blacklist has been successful in keeping a number of its casts from the beginning, the arrival of Meera Malik’s daughter in Season 10 would be emotionally devastating for the characters. Despite Amir Arison’s statements when he left his role as Aram and Megan Boone’s Liz Keen being killed off, James Spader (Red), Diego Klattenhoff (Ressler), Harry Lennix (Cooper), and Hisham Tawfiq (Dembe) have all stayed on the show since season 1.

Although there is still time for discussion, it is hoped that the Siya Malik actor will be identified by January of the next year. With a Netflix subscription, you can watch The Blacklist’s first season again, which stars Parminder Nagra as Meera. The first eight seasons are available to stream on Netflix, and a Peacock subscription now allows access to the final episodes of Season 9.
