With the installation of Tesla Supercharging stations in South Korea. Tesla marks the opening of its 100th supercharging station. These stations are located on the 5th underground floor of the D-Tower at B5, 83-21 Wangsimni-to, Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
With this installation, Tesla reached a new milestone. The new milestone was more than five years in the making for the all-electric automaker. It is a V3 Supercharger that provides up to 225kW peak rates per car.
The Tesla Superchargers are very user-friendly. Owners can simply enter payment card details in advance. And the payment will be charged automatically after connecting the car to the charger. Korean customers especially appreciate this ease of use.
Tesla has been quickly expanding its supercharging infrastructure in Korea. But due to the local regulations in Korea, this installation is limited to shopping centres, residential areas, restaurants, cafes, and near car washes. This is causing inconvenience to customers, which at the moment cannot be resolved. Tesla has been in talks with authorities for the installation of charging stations at expressways but nothing has been confirmed so far.
These Superchargers are being installed to increase customer satisfaction in a growing market. Tesla is putting a lot of effort to make the service more accessible for its users to give them a better experience.
