Here’s the crux of the article in video form:

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on March 10, 2021) follows:

If you are interested in playing 2D Sandbox games, then you must have heard of Terraria. Released in 2011, the game has sold more than 35 million copies to date.

Last year, PC players celebrated the 9th anniversary of the game with the release of the final major expansion pack known as Journey’ End or Update 1.4. Now, the update has come to the console version of the game.

The latest update brings in a brand new Journey mode featuring new character difficulty levels and a new world. Other new changes include the Master mode, enemies, bosses, weather, and a luck system.

Having said that, players did experience a new bug with Terraria 1.4 update that is causing them to get stuck on syncing files when they try to play the game. And if it wasn’t enough, the remainder of the players who are able to play the game are reporting a new one.

According to many, Terraria 1.4 update has broken the console UI. Players are demanding that the developers revert the changes since the update has removed a couple of UI features such as the ability to customize buttons.

Terraria players are asking the developers to give them the option between the old and new UI since the revamped UI is confusing many.

Moreover, for some, Terraria update 1.4 messed up the UI scaling to the point that the UI seems to be cut off. This is really frustrating since players are unable to see things that are at the very edge of the screen such as the Hotbar and mana.

If your UI scaling is messed after Terraria 1.4 update, you will be glad to know that the issue can be easily fixed. The developers shared a workaround that will allow users to customize their safe region according to their display.

Some players are also complaining that the Hotbar has a bug that drastically slows down the character when navigating. In case you are unaware, the Hotbar is the top most row of the player inventory that can hold 10 items.

A potential workaround for the issue involves unbinding the “Navigate Hotbar” option from the Explore Menu.

It seems a lot of console players are having issues with the new control scheme introduced in the Terraria 1.4 update.

That brings us to the question, do you think the developers should let users choose between the new and old UI and control scheme? We would love to hear your opinion on the matter.
