New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on May 19, 2021) follows:
With an aim to build a connected network, the telecommunications company Telstra is expanding itself in Australia.
Bigpond email, on the other hand, provides IMAP access to Telstra Mail so that it can be connected to both phone and desktop email clients.
As much as it’d seem useful, Telstra is trying to phase out the Bigpond brand gradually. But there are still many users associated with Bigpond.
These users are finding it troubling to send and receiving emails this morning using Bigpond.com.
The affected lot can no longer receive and, in some cases, send the emails. This affects the regular business of users.
The company did try to address the issue and claimed that it has been fixed but an inflow of reports suggests the issue persists.
The support further says they are working hard to address this issue at the earliest and they may soon fix it.
In the meantime, users can use the Bigpond webmail to send and receive emails from here.
That said, we will keep tracking this issue and update as and when a solution or workaround is available.
Update 1 (December 15, 2022)
10:01 am (IST): Some users are again reporting issues with Telstra BigPond Webmail server. Luckily, the support team has acknowledged the problem and they are currently investigating it.
