All of us know about the famous Netflix series Stranger Things and we all love the characters starred in them. If you’re anything like me, I know the title made you jump but it is indeed true. Our Will Byers, Noah Schnapp came out as gay and out of the closet with a bam.
The 18 year old Stranger Things fame came out as gay after being ‘scared in the closet for 18 years’. He informed the fans through a tik tok video and he mentions that when he came out to his family and friends all they all collectively responded with ‘we know’.
Similarly to our thoughts Noah Schnapp titled the video of his tiktok as “I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought.” In season 5 of Stranger Things, the character of our lovely Will Byers took the arc of being queer and all around the world it became the talk of the day.
Other than the shippers being themselves there was no such controversy with the seemingly straight characters playing gay roles but now, it does feel like out of the world.
The Tiktok video posted by Noah, received a lot of comments as well as support from the fans and other celebrities including Chris Olsen.
The other fans commented how they knew but they are all glad that he took the brave step. It will only be decent if the fans do not become obsessive so much so they make Noah regret his decision of coming out. It should always be remembered that behind a celebrity he is a human and should not be played and tossed around like a doll. We should respect his personal affairs and privacy after he has trusted us with his true identity.
