Everybody makes mistakes, especially those who are in the entertainment industry - whether that mistake is in the medium itself or not. However, when it comes to a series as popular as Star Wars, if a mistake shows up in one of its properties, its fanbase will let them know about it and then some.
That brings us to Stars Wars: The Book of Boba Fett. As the galaxy from long ago and far, far away continues to expand its universe with more miniseries and spinoffs, the fans, in character, have paid close attention to every detail of every episode that has come out. Because of that, they will also spot any blunders that come about, and the one they spotted from The Book of Boba Fett episode 3, as small as it is, most certainly did not slip past them.
During a chase scene in The Book of Boba Fett episode 3, fans caught a small glimpse of the wooden infrastructure behind one of the show’s set-pieces. Since it was a chase scene, most viewers would have focused on the characters involved in the kerfuffle, but anyone who has a knack for seeing this mistake - which is actually pretty common both in television and movies in general - would be able to spot it immediately. The real question is, where does Disney go from here?
They can correct their little error, thus showing the fans that they truly care about the production of these shows at every single facet. Or, they can leave things as they are, showing that Disney does not get bothered by little idiosyncrasies such as these because they don’t do much to affect the story as a whole. Even if issues like these aren’t that big of a deal, it will be interesting to see which route they take.
In all honesty, this was simply a mere oversight, and, again, a common one. In the end, if The Book of Boba Fett proves to be one that the fans will be invested in, this will turn out to be nothing more than an insignificant hiccup. Something that everyone involved can look back on, have a little laugh about it, and that will be that.
It still is not welcomed news to Disney, who’s trying its best to keep the passionate Star Wars fanbase invested in these spinoff series. After the divisive reaction to the new film trilogy, Disney definitely has its work cut out for them as far as appeasing the entire Star Wars fanbase goes. Some, not all, of the fans don’t let issues like these go, so at the very least, the showrunners must do everything in their power to make sure that something as glaring as this never happens again.
