Stadia Pro subscribers have the chance to enjoy some upcoming deals for a limited time. For those not subscribed, the Stadia Pro service offers free games every month, exclusive game discounts, and boasts better visual and audio quality than the standard option. Borderlands 3 will be available for free to subscribers this weekend, with the game getting a Director’s Cut DLC on the same day that Stadia Pro subscribers get access to the title.
Google is also running a Resident Evil Village promo right now that offers gamers a Google Stadia Premiere Kit in exchange for a pre-order of the game. Considering that kit comes with a $70 controller, a $50 Chromecast Ultra, and one month of Stadia Pro, it’s a bargain. Although many gamers feel that the Stadia service hasn’t lived up to its potential, others feel that Stadia’s third-party offerings make for a more casual gaming experience that’s easier on the wallet.
Borderlands 3’s free play days launch this weekend on April 8 and last until April 12. Specifically, on April 11, players can use Crowd Play to join certain YouTube content creators in Borderlands 3 via the game’s official YouTube channel. Content creators will also be giving away a limited number of Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition codes to viewers that join in.
Other offers this weekend include a discount on The Darkside Detective, which gamers can buy for $11.69, and the addition of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4, which can be purchased for $59.99, to Stadia Pro. Although Borderlands 3 is probably the biggest draw of the weekend, The Darkside Detective is a point-and-click adventure game promising a humorous horror story and Trails of Cold Steel 4 is one of four popular JRPGs coming to Google Stadia.
Right now gamers interested in testing out the Stadia Pro service can try it for free for a month. At $10 a month, Stadia Pro is the same price as Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, but Stadia players have more options when it comes to choosing which device they want to play on.
