On November 2, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will turn a year older. On October 2, the actor’s son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau following a drug seizure aboard a luxury cruise off the coast of Mumbai. After being granted release on Thursday, the star-kid spent 22 days at Arthur Road Jail and came home on Saturday. Gauri Khan, Aryan’s mother, celebrated her birthday without fanfare while incarcerated. Now that Aryan has returned home, the Khan family may be able to properly commemorate SRK’s birthday.
The Khans are debating whether to fly to their Alibaug farmhouse or stay in Mannat for a quiet party, according to a family acquaintance quoted in India Today. “To get to Alibaug, the family would have to board a jetty from Colaba, Mumbai, which will mean being pursued by the paparazzi,” the source said. SRK is apprehensive about putting Aryan through the trauma, and they may instead settle for a modest party at home.”
Meanwhile, people congregate outside Mannat’s home every year on his birthday to wish him well. Shah Rukh Khan emerges from his home to meet his adoring fans.
According to a family member, Shah Rukh is likely to beg supporters not to congregate outside for the sake of Aryan. “Now that Aryan has been released and returned home, SRK has been busy answering calls and responding to messages received by his peers on Aryan’s release. He has, however, urged that his friends refrain from visiting Mannat in order to allow Aryan time to settle down,” the source said.
Shah Rukh, on the other hand, is expected to restart his ventures upon Aryan’s return. He’ll begin filming alongside Nayanthara for Atlee’s upcoming film. He still has a few scenes from Siddharth Anand’s Pathan to shoot.
