New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on June 24, 2022) follows:

Even though Spotify continues to dominate the music streaming service niche with more than 31% of the total market share in 2021, its nearest rival, Apple Music continues to grow at an impressive pace.

That said, in the last few weeks, users have faced bugs and glitches such as the Windows app crashing at login and during playback and Google Assistant unable to play specific songs.

While Spotify developers seem to be working hard to fix the aforementioned issues, many iOS users are missing the download audio quality options(1,2,3).

This is causing a lot of frustration since the bug is preventing them from downloading music in their preferred audio quality.

Reinstalling the app doesn’t seem to help either. You can see in the image below what the options look like for those affected.

As it turns out, Spotify developers are aware of the missing download audio quality options issue on iOS and are working on a fix. But there is no timeframe for when it will be available.

We hope the developers soon find out the root cause of the problem as many are unable to download music in their preferred quality.

As always, we will be keeping an eye out for more information and update this space when the issue is resolved so make sure you stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
