Canvas is an 8-second visual loop that appears in the Now Playing view in a vertical format instead of the album artwork on the Spotify app.

Music artists can add Canvas to any track, including their upcoming releases, and draw listeners in. It’s an innovative and intriguing approach for them to express their creativity.

Spotify Canvas disappeared or not showing

But according to reports, some Spotify users are facing an issue where the Canvas feature has disappeared or not showing for them (1,2,3,4).

The Canvas feature has been accessible on some Spotify users’ accounts for months. However, it abruptly stopped functioning for an unclear reason.

After checking the settings section of the Spotify app, users discovered that they no longer have the option to toggle the Canvas feature on or off.

Some of them created new Spotify accounts, and those accounts had the Canvas function as well as settings to enable or disable it. However, the feature was still missing when they logged back into their original accounts.

According to a moderator on the official community forum, testing for the Canvas feature is currently ongoing. Consequently, it might become unavailable on some accounts.

So, it’s possible that this change hasn’t been rolled out to all accounts in your region yet. That’s why some of you can use Canvas after logging in with a different account.

That said, we will keep an eye out for the latest developments regarding the Spotify Canvas feature and update this story as and when anything noteworthy comes to our notice.
