The Hollywood movie, Spiderman: No way home is the first Hollywood movie in India to set a benchmark by entering the box office in just four days.
The film has collected Rs.29.23 crore at the domestic box office on its first Sunday, making its total Rs.108.37 crore. The movie has a gross collection of ₹138.55 crores, making it the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie in India.
Taran Adarsh, a film trade analyst, shared the film’s box office collection on Twitter. He tweeted, “#SpiderMan casts its web at the #BO… posts massive total in its extended 4-day weekend… Emerges highest-grossing film for #SonyIndia in 4 days… All eyes on weekdays… Thu 32.67 cr, Fri 20.37 cr, Sat 26.10 cr, Sun 29.23 cr. Total: ₹108.37 cr Nett BOC. #India biz.”
A big-budget superhero spectacle co-produced by Sony Pictures and Walt Disney Co is playing only in theaters, and audiences flocked to see Spider-Man: No Way Home. Spider-Man: No way home stars Tom Holland as Marvel’s web-slinging superhero and Zendaya as his girlfriend MJ. It also features stars from past Spider-Man movies.
Tom Holland expressed his thanks to fans for their support of the film. “Thank you thank you thank you and if you haven’t seen Spider-Man on the way home yet … merry Christmas and you know what to do,” he posted on Instagram.
The hype is real and the movie has been released in 3 languages in India. It is released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu in cinemas.
