After the massive success of Spider-Man: No Way Home which brought all the three Spider-Man together in one frame, Marvel is now re-releasing the film in theatres with its extended version on September 2.

The film’s extended version will include 11 extra minutes of footage that was edited from the original film when it was released in December 2021, Pinkvilla reports.

The announcement of the extended version’s release comes along with a new poster, which features Tom Holland and also the heroes of the previous Spider-Man franchises, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the spotlight. A 30-second trailer of the film was also released ahead of the big announcement.

The story revolves around Spider-Man who seeks the help of Doctor Strange to forget his exposed secret identity as Peter Parker. However, Strange’s spell goes horribly wrong, leading to unwanted guests entering their universe.

Spider-Man: No Way Home, directed by Sam Raimi managed to open up Marvel’s multiverse and experienced Holland facing villains from other universes. It was a huge box office success as it collected over USD 1.9 billion globally.

Holland has also previously confirmed that Spider-Man: No Way Home marks the end of his contract, meaning that he won’t star in the future Spider-Man sequels.
