Sonam Kapoor S Receiving Backlash From Netizens Over Post On Sikh Turban Has Attracted A Lot Of Attention From Netizens

Actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has taken notice of the present controversy in the state of Karnataka over whether students should be allowed to wear hijab in educational institutions. Sonam Kapoor took to Instagram to share a photo of a man wearing a turban and a woman wearing a hijab, with the caption “Why can a turban be a choice but a hijab can’t.”

Sonam Kapoor’s post came only days after demonstrators in Karnataka heckled several women for wearing a headscarf.

The whole saga began when the Karnataka government issued an order on February 5 imposing a dress code in all schools and institutions, with a prohibition on garments that “disturb equality, integrity, and public law and order.”
