Several New World fans have already experienced the lack of high-level crafting materials spawning anywhere in New World, but Reddit user TentraTint has compiled a list of evidence to prove that it isn’t simply RNG. Just like in other games with crafting, the crafting system of New World requires multiple components in order to create certain pieces of level-capped gear. Many New World players are able to collect some items required for crafting, while others are seemingly not in the game at all.
New World crafting requires players to level certain skills in order to gain access to high-tier craftable weapons and armor. While the lower tier gear is easily craftable with the materials included in New World right now, high-level players are missing materials such as Embossed Wrapping, Enchanted Bow String, Life Crystal Core, and Ice Crystal Core. These items are said to drop from creatures level 45 and over, but New World fans who have dedicated countless hours to killing the specific creatures beg to differ.
