With its Pixel 7 series, Google has established the fact that they offer one of the best smartphones when it comes to the Android operating system.

They offer unique hardware designs and an amazing camera with a better image processor. However, it seems that some of the Pixel smartphones are not working properly.

Google Pixel phones bricked

Many Google Pixel users (1,2,3,4) have been reporting an issue where their phones are getting bricked after installing the latest October security patch.

There are also some users who feel that the issue occurred after updating their devices to Android 13. The screen now appears black, making it impossible to turn their devices on or off.

Whether it’s planned obsolescence by Google to move the new Pixel 7 units or an unexpected glitch can’t be ascertained with any conformity.

Phones stuck in bootloop

Apart from Pixel phones getting bricked, users (1,2,3) are also facing an issue where their devices are getting stuck in bootloop.

The fact that some devices are stuck in FastBoot mode makes them entirely unusable preventing users from performing any function.

Google hasn’t commented on the issue yet so that could potentially mean that those affected may have to deal with it indefinitely.

There are also no workarounds that can help fix the issue temporarily.

We’ll keep tabs on further developments and update this article as and when new information emerges.
