Here’s the crux of the article in video form:
Snapchat is one of the few social media companies that have redefined the way we communicate with each other. What makes it unique is the fact that photos and texts sent are only available for a short period of time.
With more than 319 million daily active users worldwide, the app generated more than $1.3 billion in revenue in the last quarter of 2021.
The company started rolling out the username change feature to some in December last year. That said, many are now wondering if the popular Egg Hunt event will be coming back this year.
In case you are unaware, Snapchat introduced an Egg Hunt that encourages users to open the Snap Map and move it around to find some eggs. Those participating can compete against one another and make it to the top of the leaderboard.
Once a user finds an egg, they can simply tap on the egg which will then open the camera along with an image of an egg wrapped in a ribbon.
Users can tap on it to add it to their basket. The mini-game is quite similar to Pokemon-Go since it uses Augmented Reality to display the egg and its content. It was added to the platform in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many are wondering if the event will be back this year. Here is what some Snapchat users who were looking forward to Egg Hunt this year have to say.
Unfortunately, Snapchat Support shed some light on the matter and said they will be skipping Egg Hunt this year.
We hope the company listens to its userbase and brings back Egg Hunt this year.
