It’s been more than a week since the Steam Deck released, and the consensus seems to be that it’s a great device, capable of playing PC games on the go, with the potential for future systems to come forward to improve on the format. With Valve unveiling the Portal spin-off game Aperture Desk Job, the developer has also shown that it’s still got the chops for creating interesting games, specifically ones compatible with its own handheld device....

The Steam Deck’s release continues throughout the year, as Valve continues to ship to the United States and various other countries. If you last remember, we had an update verifying that Valve has moved most of the reserved orders for the console into either Q3 or Q4 of 2022, and some excess orders may be shipped in Q1 of 2023. Tales from the Borderlands, Telltale Games’ episodic game series based on the Borderlands series, is possibly getting a next-gen release. Originally released between 2014 and 2015 for PC and consoles, the series is set after the events of Borderlands 2 and follows Telltale’s episodic format from it’s The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead series. Based on a new rating by the Pan European Game Information (PEGI), a re-release of the episodic title might be inbound for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S....

While there was a lot of excitement building up to the launch of Tales of Arise, it does seem like the game has been a massive success on Steam for Bandai Namco Studios. Tales of Arise released just 2 days ago to excellent reviews, and is currently the highest rated game in this long-running series. Taking the sales success of Persona 4 Golden on Steam as an example, it looks like JRPGs have been increasing in popularity on PC in recent years....
