Dune: Part One and its subsequent Part Two will probably go down as unforgettable pieces of sci-fi cinema, absolute must-watch for future generations, yet for all their worth some fans of Frank Herbert’s book might be left feeling that this adaptation could have worked better as a series. The idea is of course far from groundbreaking as the early 2000s saw not one buy two Dune series adaptations titled Frank Herbert’s Dune and Frank Herbert’s Children of Dune, both of which were pretty successful even if they didn’t do the books full justice....

Anyone who has seen The Hobbit movies, or read the books will know that the dwarves quest to reclaim Erebor does not end well for the people of Lake Town (or arguably for the dwarves themselves, due to the fate of Thorin, Fili and Kili, and the end of the line of Durin). Of all the terrible fates that befall the characters across the story, what happens to the people of Lake Town is arguably one of the worst tragedies, because many people who die in the dragon’s terrible fire and wrath are innocent bystanders, women and children who were simply victims swept up in a much larger political endeavor....

One of the biggest reasons why fans were excited about Spider-Man: No Way Home was teased in the first trailer. Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to debut in theaters this December and will feature Tom Holland’s wall-crawler front and center. The upcoming film received a Chinese poster, indicating Marvel Studios and Sony plan for it to debut in the country. Spider-Man: No Way Home is expected to have a good amount of easter eggs, including villains from the other Spider-Man movies, that fans are going to really enjoy. Furthermore, Spider-Man: No Way Home is also heavily rumored to have multiple Spider-Men from past films, so fans will have to wait in order to see if this is true....

Spider-Man became the subject of controversy when Square Enix and PlayStation announced that it would only be added to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of Marvel’s Avengers, leaving PC and Xbox players without the most popular Marvel hero. At the time, the developers said Spider-Man would be added to Marvel’s Avengers for free at some point in early 2021. That didn’t happen, of course, probably because Crystal Dynamics had bigger fish to fry as they frantically tried to add more content to the game following an underwhelming launch....

Star Wars Pinball is coming to VR very soon, and the short trailer showed off a bunch of cool features. The main attraction is the pinball itself, of course, and it seems as though Zen Games is nailing that. Players will have access to eight different Star Wars Pinball tables, six pre-existing ones and two that were created especially for the virtual reality experience. Exclusive pinball tables isn’t the only thing coming to Star Wars Pinball VR, though, as there are other features that are sure to excite fans of the franchise....

Even though it’s coming out this year, Bethesda hasn’t revealed a ton of Starfield information recently. Even though fans have a release date, there’s still a lot of details that remain murky, like its core gameplay experience and plot. Odds are Bethesda will start discussing Starfield more concretely in the summer and autumn of 2022, leading up to the game’s November release. In the meantime, fans are left to speculate on the game’s potential....

Real-time Strategy games are very busy games to play; you’re constantly micromanaging everything, and then you’ll have to address something new that popped up. Stormgate, which was previously announced earlier this year, is yet another real-time strategy game coming to the market but has an exciting twist up its sleeve.
