After this many seasons, much of it spent dodging the Borg in the far reaches of space, it took a total of 27 years for Janeway and her crew to get home. The main thing is that they made it, but for the Captain, that’s not good enough. Tuvok was suffering from a debilitating cerebral disorder that couldn’t be treated in time, which is one of the reasons Janeway takes the risk of going back in time and making a deal with the Borg to get them back twenty years sooner....

Star Wars: Eclipse is the latest project coming from Quantic Dream, giving fans their first look into High Republic era of Star Wars. Quantic Dream officially revealed the game at The Game Awards 2021, offering a glimpse into Star Wars’ future—or rather its past. The High Republic era of Star Wars is a time long before the events of the films and adventures the series is most well known for. Not to be confused with the Old Republic, which is thousands of years before the films, the High Republic is set only a couple hundred years prior to the Prequel Trilogy....

On Tuesday, the Library of Congress announced their annual list of twenty-five films selected for preservation within the National Film Registry. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring are among the collection of films chosen for the prestigious honor. The selection does not represent what some could consider the “greatest” movies of all time, but what they shoulder is influence, embodying cinematic tradition’s creativity and cultural history....

Since being released in 2003, Valve’s Steam platform has become the world’s biggest download software for PC gaming, perhaps even for gaming overall. With the recent Steam update overhauling the download page, as well as tweaking how it handles storage, it seems as though the Washington-based company is keeping its most lucrative asset ticking over. The launch date of Square Enix and Team Ninja’s Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is still a few weeks away, but the developer has released several updates and reveals leading up to the game’s March launch. These have detailed gameplay mechanics, characters, and locations – just enough to get gamers interested after a bit of a lukewarm and slightly baffled response to the game’s initial announcement and trailer reveal. Although fans of the Final Fantasy series didn’t know what to make of the upcoming Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin at first, players have since become more intrigued by the Soulslike alternate retelling of the original Final Fantasy game....

Nintendo has rolled out a day-one update for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, which is launching globally today. As with most Nintendo game update, the release notes are quite minimal and only mention that the new 1.1.0 update addresses various issues. We’re pretty sure that the update packs more than a few bug fixes, and we’ll report back in case we learn more about additional changes included with this update....

The 1996 horror movie The Craft is a brilliant and fresh look at teenage girls who are also witches. Starring Neve Campbell, Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney, Skeet Ulrich, and Rachel True, the story follows Sarah Bailey (Tunney) as she moves to a new town and doesn’t care about fitting in. The film became a cult hit and it makes sense that there was interest in a reboot. The Craft: Legacy was released from Blumhouse Productions in 2020 and the story has the same bones as the original as an interesting teenage girl moves to a new town and falls in with a group of witches....

After years of building anticipation, Elden Ring has finally released, and FromSoftware fans have been blown away by the game’s depth, open-world design, and unsurprisingly challenging combat. Elden Ring had a lot to live up to, not just in terms of its own hype, but also the beloved status of previous FromSoftware games like the iconic Dark Souls series and newer titles like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
